The Ford in Britain Centenary File celebrates 100 years of the Ford Motor Company in Britain. It includes a complete history of the company plus a car by car review and technical spec of every model over the last century.

A must for any fan of America’s rich automotive history, American Auto Legends spans a century of America’s most iconic and influential cars. Written by Tracy Powell, industry expert, acclaimed journalist and Managing Editor of Automobile Quarterly, with sumptuous photography provided by none other than Michael Furman (see his work at the Michael Furman Photographer website).
Continuing publisher Merrell’s Auto Legends series, American Auto Legends gets things rolling with a brief pre-race ceremony by way of an introduction to the American motor industry, before dropping the green flag on over 50 of the most important cars to ever grace a freeway.
As we would expect, vehicles are included from both the revered manufacturers of old like Packard and Studebaker, as well as those still turning a crank, such as Lincoln, Buick, Chevy and Ford. Those whose knowledge predates Detroit’s pony car wars of the 1960s won’t be surprised to find the ’55 T-Bird makes the grade.
With at least a double page spread for each car, American Auto Legends serves up plenty of information, including designer profiles, a technical glossary, and a directory of museums and collections.
So if you were wondering what to buy the petrolhead in your life this Christmas, now you know!
